Just a Warning

Today, I received an email from one of my good friends and faithful readers letting me know that someone using my name was sending out emails asking for money.  At first, we thought that one of my email accounts had a virus.  Upon further investigation, we realized that it was a fake account using my name.  We reasoned that it could be just a coincidence, but I figured that I should make an official announcement on the issue in case my friend was not the only one who received it.

I can’t say that I am too happy about the situation because there is nothing I can do to stop it from happening.  My name is actually pretty common.  I should know.  I have done a lot of Google searches over the years.  It is frustrating because a lot of being an entrepreneur reliant upon maintaining an adequate level of trust with your supporters.  Emails like these have the potential to erode my reputation before I even build it.

Just know that I appreciate all of you.
